Ari Jaaksi, head of Nokia’s open source software operations aka the guy in charge of Nokia’s Internet Tablets, has posted a “high level roadmap” over-viewing what and when to expect updates to the Nokia N800 ITT OS and software.

He states in the short term (in a few weeks) a new version of ITT OS 2007 will be released that includes:

• better Flash performance
• better video performance and quality
• longer usage times i.e. better power management
• fixes here and there
  

Long term he states more browser updates and better “web 2.0″ support, improved multimedia, better software package management, Skype and Real Phapsody software and more applications including a new download section on nokia’s tableteer site.
