E28’s E2831 New Linux Powered Phone

Shanghai mobile manufacturer E28 Ltd., has just received FCC approval on a new Linux powered phone. The E2831 is a GSM Quad-band phone with an integrated 802.11b/g WiFi. It has Integrated VoIP over WLAN support using the SIP protocol on a IMS system and supports active call hand-overs between GSM and WLAN connections.
It has a slim profile at 112mm x 50mm x 12.5mm and reportedly gets 3 hours talk time (either VoIP or GSM). It has a 2.2” QVGA 262K color display and a 1.3 megapixel digicam.
