The latest update email from OpenMoko leader Sean Moss-Pultz gives a number of updates on the status and standing of the OpenMoko linux phone project. Developer versions of the open source phone will goe on sale for $300 on July 9th, with general availability coming later this Fall around October.

In addition, a number of other plans were revealed including:

• OpenMoko will be spinning out from FIC as its own company
• A New website will launch next month
• Mass market OpenMoko Phones will start at $400 US
• Three new models are planned for next year
