Nokia N800 Update Released

Nokia has released a major rom update for the N800 Internet tablet. The update (version number 4.2007.26-8) includes a new Skype client, an updated Adobe Flash 9 browser plug-in, battery and touch-screen improvements and memory card support up to 8 GB.
After downloading the new software for the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet and installing Skype, can make free Internet Calls to other Skype users and low cost calls to landline or mobile phone wherever there is a wireless connection.
Flash support has been enhanced with substantially improved media performance when using video streaming services such as youtube and google video. Memory card support has increased from 2GB to up to 8GB, giving you up to 16GB of potential storage space with the devices dual memory card slots.
In addition Nokia has put a lot of work into increasing the N800′s battery life. Most of the improvements have been done around the wireless connection, resulting in longer online usage time. Touch screen sensitiveness has also been improved through software enhancements. Screen areas with most intensive use should now register events more efficiently.
You can update the software on your Nokia N800 Internet Tablet using a Windows PC there are also the instructions for Linux and Mac OS X.

I must also say that the update made my N800 much faster than before (I could even say that it’s near twice… )
I’m really happy with this update.
